Our Education Initiatives

The Flagstaff Festival of Science strives to connect STEM and STEAM experts with K-12 students and teachers in Flagstaff and across Northern Arizona.  Through our In-School Speaker Program, we match K-12 teachers with STEM / STEAM professionals who can bring science to life in their classrooms and spark a life-long interest in STEM / STEAM topics.

Whether virtual or in person, our education initiatives connect thousands of youth every year with the joys of scientific discovery!

In-School Speaker Program

If you are a STEM or STEAM professional who would like to be a presenter for the In-School Speaker program, the Presenter Registration for this school year (2025-2026) is now closed.  But stay tuned for the opportunity to sign up as a presenter for the 2026 program.  We will start recruiting STEM / STEAM presenters in January 2026.

With your expertise and passion brought to life in the classroom, you can inspire students to develop a deeper interest in STEM / STEAM fields.  By highlighting real-world applications and sharing your knowledge, you can motivate students to explore their curiosity and pursue further learning opportunities.  This engagement with young learners is critical, as these students are the scientists, engineers, technologists, doctors, and leaders of the future.

Even if you are not doing classroom presentations this year, feel free to attend the workshop for presenters.  Also note that we have a Flagstaff Festival of Science event this year called, Making STEM Digestible, where you can hear from a panel of STEM communication experts.

Presenter Registration (CLOSED)

If you are an educator who wants to take part in the In-School Speaker program and be matched with a STEM / STEAM speaker, the Educator Registration form is now closed.  Stay tuned for the opportunity to participate next year.
